One of the positive aspects of the war in Iraq is that it has shifted the “battlefront” on terrorism away from the USA and into Iraq. Detractors claim that a war in Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terrorism — despite the well-known fact that Saddam paid the families of suicide bombers $25,000 each for murdering innocent Israelis — but now we have Osama bin Laden himself stating that Iraq is the new battlefront in the “jihad” against the US. [Article] Isn’t it better to have the war on terrorism fought outside of the USA? I think so.
But that still does not change the fact that our people are dying. The battlefront may be shifted OUTSIDE the United States, but this one thinks in no way at all whatsoever are US in Iraq helping anybody. There are no good things at all about war obviously, and this one thinks it is we that are provoking this new front int their home, which, of course, our people think is a good thing, but the terrorists in Iraq and the other eastern nations are not truly the enemies in this age, we are are own enemies. And we must overcome ourselves before we advane any further into this front…
